Rosettes have arrived!!

Today I came home to find a lovely box waiting for me.  What a great way to end the day especially as it was a box full of rosettes.  I was anxious to see the final product and when I opened the box, I was not disappointed at all.  I love what my supplier came up with.  I am sure that the winners of the fun matches and those selected as most improved will be very proud of not only their accomplishment and will proudly display their rosette.  I have visions of a convoy of cars adorned with Camp Doggin' It rosettes leaving Kirkfield.  Now, that would be a sight to see!

I have to say that I still have my ribbons and rosettes from an agility trial in 2010 hanging on my cubicle wall and they are not nearly as fancy as these ones.  It makes me smile thinking that these rosettes will have a similar place of honour.  Who knows, perhaps the winners will go onto to compete in other dog sports!

I hope you are all surviving the heat wave.  Don't forget to keep both you and your pooches well hydrated on walks (short walks are best in this heat) and of course, not to leave them in a parked car.  It's been in the news often enough, we don't need any more ...

I can't believe that it's already the middle of July.  Only a few weeks left before camp - hard to imagine, where does the time go?!?!  From the website stats, there's lots of interest in all the activities ... For those who have not registered, I would encourage you do so soon so you aren't disappointed.  There is a limited number of participants per activity to make the most of the training sessions.

As I mentioned in my last post, I have secured some corporate sponsors for prizes.  What I didn't tell you was that I've planned for camper welcome kits full of lots of surprises.  Think of it as a doggy loot bag and camp as the party ... hmm, I wonder if it's anyone's birthday this weekend?  We could have cake if it is!  And it's always a good time when there's cake in my books!!!

That's about all for now.  As always, I'm happy to hear your feedback or answer any questions you may have.

See you in September!
